The deck covers the purpose of amateur radio, license classes, control operators, station identification, prohibited communications, third party traffic, emergency operations and the rules behind remote or automatic control.
This deck belongs to a 397 text-card set built from the public domain NCVEC 2026 to 2030 Technician question pool, valid from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2030. The set omits 12 diagram questions that require the official visual references. VoiceCards is not affiliated with NCVEC or the FCC.
How to study Technician FCC rules
- Learn the roles first. Start with licensee, control operator, control point and station responsibilities so later rule questions have a clear frame.
- Say the legal distinction. Answer aloud before checking, especially when two choices differ by one condition or exception.
- Group numbers together. Repeat cards about license terms, identification timing and frequency privileges as one short set.
- Revisit missed wording. Star questions where words such as may, must and prohibited changed your answer.
