Memorize Surah Al-Ahzab (The Combined Forces): recite the Quran by heart
Surah Al-Ahzab (الأحزاب, "The Combined Forces") is a Medinan surah of 73 verses — enough that it wants to be worked in sections. Each card carries one ayah: reference to recite from, Arabic to recite, English as a note.
What this deck teaches
Hifz — memorizing the Quran — is done in Arabic, by hearing and repeating the exact wording, ayah after ayah. Surah Al-Ahzab runs to 73 verses, which is past the point where you can hold it all at once. Working it in sections of five or ten, and revising the earlier sections while you add new ones, is what stops the beginning slipping while you learn the end.
It is a Medinan surah, at number 33 in the mushaf. Medinan surahs generally run to longer ayat and more sustained passages, so the units you memorize are bigger and the phrasing inside each ayah is worth slowing down for.
The name means "The Combined Forces", taken from the text itself; knowing what it refers to helps keep this surah distinct from its neighbours as your memorized list grows. Each card puts the reference on one side and the Arabic ayah on the other, recited aloud by the app, with the Yusuf Ali English as a note so you know what you are saying without it interrupting the Arabic. Arabic and English sit in separate fields, so the recitation is read cleanly. How to memorize Surah Al-Ahzab with VoiceCards

- Sections, not sprints. Take 73 verses in blocks of five or ten and revise the finished blocks alongside the new one. The revision is not optional at this length — it is the part that makes it stick.
- Loop the ones that slip. Star the ayat that come out shaky and give them their own short Listen loop the next morning. An ayah you can recite cleanly from the reference three days running is one you own.
