Memorize Surah An-Nas (Mankind): recite the Quran by heart
Surah An-Nas (الناس, "Mankind") is a Meccan surah of just 6 verses — small enough to finish quickly and a good place to start. Each card pairs an ayah's reference with the Arabic to recite and the English meaning as a note.
What this deck teaches
Hifz — memorizing the Quran — is done in Arabic, by hearing and repeating the exact wording, ayah after ayah. Surah An-Nas is among the short ones: 6 verses, one per card, which is a deck you can hold in a single sitting and finish in a few days. Short surahs are where most people start, and where the habit that carries the long ones gets built.
It sits in Juz Amma, the last thirtieth of the mushaf, which is the part most people memorize first and the part heard most often in prayer. Like most of the surahs around it, An-Nas is Meccan: the ayat are short and the rhythm is tight, which is exactly what makes them hold in the ear.
It closes the mushaf and forms a pair with the surah before it; the two are conventionally learned and recited together. Each card puts the reference on one side and the Arabic ayah on the other, recited aloud by the app, with the Yusuf Ali English as a note so you know what you are saying without it interrupting the Arabic. Arabic and English sit in separate fields, so the recitation is read cleanly. How to memorize Surah An-Nas with VoiceCards

- Recite from the reference. Switch to Speak mode. See only the reference, recite the ayah from memory, then reveal the card and check every word. The English note is there when you want the meaning, and out of the way when you do not.
- Finish it, then keep it warm. At 6 verses you can reach the end of this one quickly. The work after that is keeping it — a short Listen pass every few days holds a surah this size almost indefinitely.
- Loop the ones that slip. Star the ayat that come out shaky and give them their own short Listen loop the next morning. An ayah you can recite cleanly from the reference three days running is one you own.
