Memorize Surah At-Tin (The Fig): recite the Quran by heart
Surah At-Tin (التين, "The Fig") is a Meccan surah of just 8 verses — small enough to finish quickly and a good place to start. Each card pairs an ayah's reference with the Arabic to recite and the English meaning as a note.
What this deck teaches
Hifz — memorizing the Quran — is done in Arabic, by hearing and repeating the exact wording, ayah after ayah. Surah At-Tin is among the short ones: 8 verses, one per card, which is a deck you can hold in a single sitting and finish in a few days. Short surahs are where most people start, and where the habit that carries the long ones gets built.
It sits in Juz Amma, the last thirtieth of the mushaf, which is the part most people memorize first and the part heard most often in prayer. Like most of the surahs around it, At-Tin is Meccan: the ayat are short and the rhythm is tight, which is exactly what makes them hold in the ear.
Its title, "The Fig", is drawn from a word that appears in the text. Learning the meaning alongside the sound gives you a second handle on the surah. One ayah per card: reference on the front, Arabic on the back for the app to recite, English kept as a separate note. The split matters — mixing scripts in one field is what breaks Arabic text-to-speech. How to memorize Surah At-Tin with VoiceCards

- Loop the ones that slip. Star the ayat that come out shaky and give them their own short Listen loop the next morning. An ayah you can recite cleanly from the reference three days running is one you own.
