Memorize Surah Al-Ma'arij (The Ascending Stairways): recite the Quran by heart
Surah Al-Ma'arij (المعارج, "The Ascending Stairways") is a Meccan surah of 44 verses — enough that it wants to be worked in sections. Each card carries one ayah: reference to recite from, Arabic to recite, English as a note.
What this deck teaches
Hifz — memorizing the Quran — is done in Arabic, by hearing and repeating the exact wording, ayah after ayah. Surah Al-Ma'arij runs to 44 verses, which is past the point where you can hold it all at once. Working it in sections of five or ten, and revising the earlier sections while you add new ones, is what stops the beginning slipping while you learn the end.
It is a Meccan surah, sitting in the second half of the mushaf at number 70. Meccan surahs tend towards shorter ayat and a strong cadence, which is a help when you are reciting from memory rather than reading.
"The Ascending Stairways" is what the name means, and it points at something inside the surah rather than at a summary of it — a useful anchor once several surahs of similar length are in your head. The reference is the prompt and the Arabic ayah is the answer, read aloud; the English translation rides along as a note you can show or ignore. Keeping the two scripts in separate fields is what stops the Arabic being mangled when it is spoken. How to memorize Surah Al-Ma'arij with VoiceCards

- Sections, not sprints. Take 44 verses in blocks of five or ten and revise the finished blocks alongside the new one. The revision is not optional at this length — it is the part that makes it stick.
- Loop the ones that slip. Star the ayat that come out shaky and give them their own short Listen loop the next morning. An ayah you can recite cleanly from the reference three days running is one you own.
